Hi! I'm Lillian
For over a decade, I’ve walked alongside youths, adults, and groups through challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, mood swings, life transitions, work and caregiving stress, grief, school bullying, self-esteem concerns, addictions, anger, trauma and relationship difficulties.
My path to counselling began in my teens, when friends and family confided with me. Growing up with difficult family circumstances, I saw how emotional and relational struggles spill into work, relationships, and well-being, and how practical advice often didn’t last. That limitation, and a genuine desire to help, led me to leave a successful corporate career for counselling: first church-based training, then a master’s in counselling.
Along the way, I discovered the brain’s remarkable capacity to heal and adapt, even after trauma or prolonged stress, and learned how to nurture this process with the right tools and support.
It’s one of the great joys of my work to witness my clients move from helplessness to steadier confidence, purpose, and fulfilment.
Background & Therapeutic Approach
I hold a Master of Social Science (Counselling) and an MBA, and am a member of the Singapore Association of Counselling. My work is grounded in both professional training and over three decades of life and work experience, allowing me to bring a practical, real-world perspective alongside clinical understanding.
My approach is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on psychodynamic therapy, CBT, mindfulness and somatic practices, Gestalt techniques, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and trauma-informed frameworks. These are thoughtfully adapted to your unique situation to support greater insight, emotional balance, healthier relationships, and meaningful, lasting change.

How I can support you

Anxiety
When worry feels hard to control, persistent or intense, it is time to get support.
Anxiety can nudge us to avoid facing what scares us, yet that short-term relief usually strengthens the anxiety.
I combine psychoeducation, cognitive restructuring, somatic and mindfulness techniques, gradual exposure, and emotional processing to retrain your body and mind to feel safer and calmer.

Depression and Mood
If life feels colourless, hopeless and heavy, you’re not alone. Recovery is possible and I am here to support you.
I provide a safe and empathic space to help you uncover patterns beneath how you feel and help you reconnect with meaning, relationships and energy, moving toward renewed hope alongside medical support if needed.

Stress & Burnout
Do you keep pushing through exhaustion, hoping things will ease up “after this week,” yet nothing changes? You may be nearing burnout. It shows up as fatigue, irritability, and low motivation, and pushing harder only leaves you drained and disconnected, sometimes leading to anxiety or depression.
I offer a safe space to explore why overwork keeps holding on. Together, we’ll build healthier coping strategies, restore balance, and help you feel more present and alive again.

Hurt and anger
Do you find yourself reacting with anger more than you’d like to? Anger often guards grief, fear or hurt. I'll help you diffuse these intense emotions by tracing their roots and understanding their messages.
We'll find healthy ways to express them, so old wounds can begin to heal resulting in calmer reactions, stronger relationships, and a lighter heart.

Life transitions
Are you in the midst of a life change and longing for more clarity, understanding, and support to help you through it?
You’ve come to the right place. Whether its parenthood, caregiving, loss, midlife shifts, health or career changes, I provide a warm and compassionate space to process, gain perspective, and align with what matters most so you can move into your next chapter with clarity and confidence.

Age-related Concerns and later life transitions
Are you in your 50s or 60s and finding that what once kept you steady no longer works? Health shifts, loneliness, grief, and questions about identity or purpose may leave you unsure of what’s next, yet many possibilities remain.
I will help you reflect on where you’ve been, recalibrate to life's challenges, and reimagine what fulfillment, connection, and peace can look like now. Through this process, you can feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded in strength and purpose for this season of life.

Youth counselling
(14 to 19 yrs old)
Are you worried your teen seems anxious, withdrawn, or on edge? Early support can change the trajectory.
I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where teens talk openly, feel understood, and learn practical tools. Together, we address anxiety, anger, sadness, and stress while building confidence and healthy coping skills. Over time, many teens feel steadier and more resilient, handling school and friendships with greater ease.
Professional Fees – the flexibility you need
My fees are meant to be accessible and sustainable for you. Online sessions cost less; in-person sessions are higher due to overheads. The quality of care stays the same— personalised, compassionate, and evidence-based. We’ll begin with a longer first online session, then decide together what works best for your goals, needs, and safety.

All sessions are by appointment only.
Subsidies are available on a case-by-case basis for clients who may need financial support.
